SEXTANT AND BOATSWAIN WHISTLE. (1) The sextant is in its orig case with one lens, an Allen wrench, a spare light bulb, and a screw cap. There is also a mounting bracket in orig box marked “AAF” and dated “10 Feb. 1945”. CONDITION: Retains most of the black painted or enameled finish. Eyepiece is cracked and slightly flaking. Bracket is new in box. (2) The Boatswain whistle is engraved on one side “W. A. Judge”, “U.S.S. Chicago”. It is also marked “STERLING”. CONDITION: Somewhat battered. Very dark tarnish. Wooden carrying box has aluminum fixtures and is painted blue. Blue paint is crackled but only has minor scratches and wear on corners.
