EARLY TRADE SILVER AMULET. Large beaver amulet, 6-7/8” long x about 3” wide, in the shape of a beaver with wide flat tail. At the end beaver’s body is the Hudson Bay seated fox stamp and another stamp with initials “W.E”. These were apparently sold or traded to the Indians back in the fur trade days and worn as jewelry. This one has a small hole in the nose. CONDITION: Worn but complete with some incised details still visible. Retains traces of old green & black paint and has a few small dents. 4-50915 JR1130 (500-1,000)
