ATTRIBUTED TO PAVEL TCHELITCHEW (Russian, 1898-1957) A PLUMBER’S MIND. Graphite on paper sketch shows a shoulder length portrait of a man with coat, shirt and tie looking crazed and frowning at the viewer. His skull has been opened up and two pipes emerge, one vertical and one horizontal. The background is a mountain and sky landscape. Signed lower right “P. Tchelitchew 1948″. Housed in a simple black wood frame. SIZE: Sight: 13-1/2″ x 10”. CONDITION: Some light staining on edges, otherwise very good. 9-99847 (1,000-2,000)
