FRENCH BISQUE BÉBÉ EMBOSSED “J.3”. Closed mouth child, circa 1890, with blue-gray paperweight eyes (loose in head), with closed mouth and bee-stung lips, well-painted eye lashes and eyebrows, pierced ears, and mounted on an early fully-jointed body with straight wrists, stamped in blue “JUMEAU, Medaille D’Or, Paris”. Elaborately dressed, in lavender silk and lace two-piece costume with matching hat with wide brim and feathers, and wearing an antique blonde mohair wig over a cork pate.
