EMILE LOUIS PICAULT (French, 1833-1915) LA MUTUALITE. Bronze scuplture shows a woman seated on a naturalistic stone seat holding a pencil in one hand and a tablet in the other hand which is inscribed “J. Evoque du Passe les Heures Radieuses 1882-1912”. Back of the tall seat inscribed “Le Coeur Se Souvient” and the base inscribed “Memoria”. Side of the base signed “E. Picault” and the back carries a round foundry mark “Vrai Bronze Garanti Paris”. Woman is in a bronze gold type finish, back in a dark brown. SIZE: 31” h x 9-1/2” w x 11” d. CONDITION: Very good. 9-71068 (3,000-5,000)
