*ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH 410 BOX LOCK EJECTOR O/U BY FRANCOTTE. SN 19041. Cal. 410. 3″ Chambers. Double triggers. Automatic safety. 26″ Barrels are engraved “Abercrombie & Fitch Co. New-York” on left side of top bbl w/ full length raised matted rib. Bbls have Belgian proofs for 75mm chambers. Bottom bbl is engraved “Acier Cockerill” and has 2 stamps “AF” surmounted w/ crown. Case hardened box lock action has dual under lugs, w/ about 50% coverage of scroll engraving. Blued floor plate is engraved “Made in Belgium.” Trigger guard has matching scroll w/ no. “19041” on grip. “S” is inlaid in gold in front of safety button. Plain European walnut semi pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over ribbed horn butt plate, featuring a silver oval w/ initials “A.C.D.” and 20 LPI checkering w/ double line borders. One piece forend has a Deeley release, w/ wood and checkering to match buttstock. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 5 lbs 4oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain nearly all orig blue w/ few scratches, and areas of cleaning along top rib. Action retains nearly all orig case color, thinning a bit around bottom. Floor plate retains nearly all of its blue. Trigger guard about 50%, mostly flaked. Top lever is silvered at thumb piece. Forend iron has some dings at bottom edge. Buttstock retains most of its oil finish, but dry w/ some marks from handling. Some scuffs on left side of forend. Bores are excellent. Action is tight, and on face.
