MILLS 5¢ DEWEY WITH MUSICAL CABINET. An earlier Mills Dewey with the more desirable pie wedge color wheel, a quartersawn oak cabinet with raised panels, and a music box that plays a single tune every time the mechanism is activated. Oftentimes by adding music the intent was to navigate around anti-gambling laws, thus the operator could claim that a person was merely buying a “tune”. Machine has been expertly restored. Iron castings polished and re-nickeled. A new reverse glass featuring a shield and a picture of Admiral Dewey, the music box cleaned and tuned and the mechanism of the machine cleaned and lubricated. The machine retains an original paneled back door and is in excellent working condition. SIZE: 29″ w x 17″ d x 66″ t. CONDITION: Overall excellent restored condition.
