These accessories fit compartments fairly well, and may be original to gun. PROVENANCE: Letter from previous owner giving the history of original owner of this gun, R. M. Turnbull, and how it descended through his family. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 70 – 80% original brown, silvered and worn in normal places. Action is mostly silver gray, with case hardening color evident in protected areas. Stocks appear to have what remains of their original finish, maintained over the years, and are quite pleasing. Checkering has been correctly re-cut. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Bores are fair, with considerable areas of pitting, mostly toward breech. Case is very fine. Leather is still relatively light, but with areas of staining, marks and rubs. Straps and handle are replacements. Interior leather is good, again with large areas of staining, mostly in lid near breech of bbl recess. Some leather has been restored in bottom, and lids replaced on some compartments. Accessories are good. A fine example of this scarce and highly sought after gun, and very unusual to be found in this gauge, with original casing, and its family history. 4-40615 MGM58 (15,000-20,000)
