*FINE LEBEAU COURALLY BOSS STYLE ROUND ACTION OVER AND UNDER GAME GUN WITH CASE. SN 54537. Cal. 12ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Double Trigger (front trigger articulated). 27-9/16″ Bbls have flat matted ventilated rib. Top bbl marked “Lebeau Courally Liege” on the left side. Bottom bbl has Belgian proofs “Made in Belgium”, SN “54537” and “August Lebeau” on the flat. Ejector bolsters are acanthus and floral engraved. The coin finished, nicely sculpted, side lock action has 95% coverage acanthus and floral engraving with areas of high relief vine engraving on the rounded action bottom and sculpted top fence. Trigger guard has matching engraving w/ vacant shield. Top lever has a relief engraved pierced thumb piece. The top tang is engraved w/ “No.54537.” and “S” is inlaid in gold in front of the non-automatic safety button. The lightly figured and streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15″ over a leather covered pad. Checkering is flat top, borderless, at 18 LPI. Three piece forend has Deeley and Edge release w/ wood and checkering matching the buttstock. Bore diameter: top -.726, bottom -.726. Bore restrictions: top -.025, bottom -.014. Wall thickness: top -.030, bottom -.017. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight:7 lbs 4 oz. The Abercrombie and Fitch marked leather toe under case has stitched leather corners. Red interior with Abercrombie and Fitch label. Accessories include A&F Co oil bottle and snap caps, unmarked 2-pc cocobolo cleaning rod, and small black leather case containing cleaning implements. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 95%+ orig black w/ some thinning at rear edge of the left ejector bolster. Bores are bright and shiny w/ no visible imperfections, forcing cones appear to have been lengthened. The action and all metal parts retain 98%+ of their orig coin finish. Gold wash on triggers is about 50% thinning to silver. Gold wash on tumbler and pin ends is mostly silver. Screw slots appear not to have been turned. Stocks retain 95% orig finish w/ very few light handling marks. Action is tight and on face. Ejectors are in time. Leather case has a few minor scuffs w/ 3″ x 1″ patch where initials have been removed. Straps and handle are in good condition. Interior partitions are intact.
