*J.P. SAUER & SOHNS DRILLING. Cal. 16/16/8x57JR. SN 263611. Blue & case hardened finish, unusually short 21-3/4” bbls of “KRUPP-LAUFSTAHL” (Krupp Steel), with articulated 100 meter rear sight, lightly engraved receiver & trigger guard. Receiver has side clips, Greener crossbolt, three cocked indicators & Greener side safety. Front trigger is set for rifle bbl. The 16 ga. chambers are 2-9/16”. It has checkered splinter forearm & rnd knob stock with cheek piece. Stock is tight grained checkered European walnut with composition buttplate. Has typical European 7/8” sling swivels. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains 85-90% blue on bbls, 20% case colors in protected areas. Moderate wear overall. Wood retains traces of orig finish with light nicks & worn checkering.
