*DELIGHTFUL EARLY FAMARS BLE S/S SHOTGUN. SN 29872. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ bbls. Tapered concave rib w/single brass sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP-CYL/FULL, dbl triggers and ejectors. Top of left bbl is marked “ARMI FAMARS”, bottom rib has two filler holes, presumably for a sling swivel mount. The scalloped and rebated boxlock receiver is coin-finished and has minimal border scroll engr and a diamond-shaped scroll pattern around each screw. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered straight grip, gold initial oval, checkered butt and checkered splinter forend w/metal tip release. Date code indicates 1977 mfg. Bore diameter: left .627, right .626. Bore restrictions: left .032, right .015. Wall thickness: left .037, right .021. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 2 oz. LOP 14-1/2″. CONDITION: Very Fine. Bbls retain 95-98% orig blue w/minor wear at muzzle and chambers, slight rub mark from forend and a few minor light scratches. The bright coin-finished receiver is clean and crisp. The stock is sound w/minor hairline behind top tang, a few nicks and dings and a shell chip on left side edge of checkered butt. Retains nearly all of its orig finish. Initial oval is engr “MD”. Forend is sound w/sharp checkering, minor chip on left side rear and retains virtually all of its orig finish. Mechanics are crisp w/non-automatic safety, strong ejectors and nice shiny bores. 4-35597 BDT226 (6,000-8,000)
