*STUNNING ANGELO GALEAZZI ENGRAVED BERETTA SO-6 EELL W/HUEY OAK AND LEATHER CASE. SN A04915B. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ bbls w/hand filed, tapered vent rib w/single sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP-CYL/MOD choke and gold single trigger and ejectors. Chamber area of rib has gold number “1”. Left side of upper bbl is marked, “P. BERETTA-ITALY” and lower bbl “BOHLER ANTINIT STEEL”. The fabulous Bulino-style game scenes are too detailed to truly describe w/words. There is a landing flock of mallards on left side plate and flushing covey of partridge w/scenic background on right plate. The bottom is engr w/brace of pointers over two partridge w/scenic background. Both sides of receiver are signed, “GALEAZZI ’78”. Balance of receiver is engr w/floral and foliate scroll. Top lever is engr w/gold number “1”, “S” is also in gold at safety. Mounted w/a stunning piece of exhibition walnut, fine checkered straight grip and fine checkered butt, fine checkered field-style forend w/engr release latch and gold “1”. This gun and the #2 gun have a prominent pictorial in the “Double Gun Journal” Vol 4, Issue 2, September 1993. Bore diameter: top .723, bottom .725. Bore restrictions: top .014, bottom .006. Wall thickness: top .035, bottom .031. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 1 oz. LOP 14-1/4″. Accompanied by a Marvin Huey oak and leather case, SN 973 w/accessories and Beretta label. A true masterpiece by the Godfather of Italian Bulino engraving. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears unused. Bbl retains virtually all of its fine factory finish. Receiver is bright and clear. Stock is sound w/sharp crisp checkering and retains virtually all of its fine hand-rubbed finish. The forend is sound w/crisp checkering and virtually all of its fine hand-rubbed finish. Case and accessories are in equally new condition.
