*SUPERB BERTUZZI BAR ACTION SIDELOCK HAMMER S/S SHOTGUN W/CASE. SN 6088. Cal. 28 ga. 29″ bbls w/tapered hand-filed concave rib, w/single silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, MOD/FULL choke, articulated dbl triggers and extractors. Left bbl is marked, “FILI BERTUZZI ITALY”. Bottom of left bbl, “NEW ENGLAND ARMS CO”, and right, “KITTERY POINT ME USA”. The beautifully engr scaled receiver has woodcock in a forested scene on left plate, Ruffed Grouse in a forested scene on right and a setter w/a flushing woodcock on bottom by DASSA, w/”FILI BERTUZZI” above it. The balance of receiver is a lovely flower and floral scroll w/darkened matte background. Mounted with a highly figured streaky Turkish walnut w/drop points, fine checkered straight grip, checkered butt w/finely engr heel and toe plates, checkered splinter forend w/engr Purdey-style forend release, engraved diamond-shaped escutcheon and engr forend iron. Bore Measurements for this gun are not available. Weight: 5 lbs. 11 oz. LOP 14-1/2″. Accompanied by a leather NIZZOLI luggage case w/makers label and cover sleeves. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Gun appears new since manufacture. Bbls retain virtually all of their factory blue finish. Silver receiver is clean, crisp and sharp. Stock and forend are sound w/sharp checkering and retain virtually all of their fine, hand-rubbed finish. Mechanics are crisp w/non-automatic safety and bright shiny bores.
