FRAMED HAND WRITTEN NOTE & SIGNATURE OF DANIEL BOONE. Very rare Boone signature on a promissory note, written on parchment, 7-3/4” x 3-1/2”, as follows “For value received I promise to pay to Mr. Hugh McClentic or order, Fifteen Pounds, Current money of Virginia, on or before the first day of April Next, as witness my hand & seal at Limestone this third day of February 1786.” and signed “Daniel Boone”, witnessed by “Ebenezer T. Malt”. Also in the frame is a reproduced wood cut of Daniel Boone holding a rifle with a dog in the background. Overall size: 20-1/4” x 15-1/2”. CONDITION: Extremely fine. All the handwriting is crisp & clear, the paper is yellowed with a fold in the center with some staining in that area. Print is fine, the frame is fine. 4-50754 JR1121 (5,000-7,000)
