GROUP OF AMERICAN SILVERPLATE TABLEWARES. First quarter 20th century. Comprised of a four-arm Rococo Revival candelabrum by the Balfour Silver Co., a footed serving tray with gadrooned shell-carved edge by Elizur G. Webster & Son, New York, together with a five-piece American Sheffield tea service consisting of a teapot on stand, two other teapots, a covered sugar, and cream pitcher. SIZE: CANDELABRUM: 17-1/4″ overall h. x 15-1/2″ dia. TRAY: 29″ overall l. TEA SET: Pot on stand: 12″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: Candelabrum in very fine condition overall, with all bobeches and finial. The tray in very fine condition, with wear to inner surface of tray. Tea set in very good condition, monogrammed, with no wear noted. 9-93621 (800-1,200)
