*GERMAN WEATHERBY MARK V DELUXE BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN P27972. Cal. 300 Weatherby. 26″ bbl made without sights, left side of chamber is marked “Weatherby/300 Magnum” and right side “Made in W. Germany”. Sauer made Mark V action is marked center of left side “Weatherby”. Forward left side marked “Mark V/U.S. Patent No. 3.013.355”. Topped with Redfield 2 pc scope bases. Mounted in nicely figured walnut with Weatherby signature 45 degree forend tip, skip line checkered panels on forend, skip line checkered pistol grip, with Weatherby signature gripcap with white diamond, Monte Carlo Weatherby marked brown vented recoil pad, left side cheekpiece and sling swivel stud. Accompanying gun is a black Bell and Carlson synthetic stock that has been professionally bedded and is the stock that was actually used to hunt this rifle. Consignor states he took 7 bull elk with this rifle. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 95-97% orig blue with some minor muzzle wear, a few minor scratches and typical light handling marks. Receiver retains most of its orig blue with a small bright spot on handle. Trigger guard and foreplate retain orig blue starting to show bright on sharp edges and a couple light scratches and handling marks. The deluxe wood stock appears nearly new with virtually all orig factory finish and just a few small handling marks. The synthetic stock is solid with most of its black paint with a few small areas of flaking. Mechanics are crisp with a nice shiny bore. 4-40115 BDT51 (1,200-1,700)
