*UNUSUAL ENGRAVED BERTUZZI BEST QUALITY O/U SHOTGUN W/CASE. SN 5849. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ bbls hand filed vent rib with dual silver sighting beads. 3″ chambers, MOD/FULL chokes, single trigger and ejectors. Right side of bbls marked “GARDONE V.T. ITALY” and left side “ARMI” and in gold “FILI BERTUZZI”. The unusual engraved sidelock receiver has 3 turkeys on left sideplate with “ARMI” above sideplate and “FILI BERTUZZI” below and right side has 4 turkeys all in flight down a wooded hillside with “ITALY” above sideplate and “GARDONE V.T.” below. Bottom of receiver has 2 Canadian geese coming in for a landing with signature that is not totally legible. Balance of receiver is done in a fine foliate arabesque scroll. Trigger plate is signed “INGLESINI NARCISI INC”. Mounted with an outstanding piece of streaky walnut, dropper points, finely checkered straight grip, 1/2″ black Kickeez pad, checkered splintered 3 piece forend with engraved metal tip release, Bertuzzi engraved gold crest, pear shaped escutcheons, scroll and floral bouquet engraved iron. Bore diameter: top .724, bottom .724. Bore restrictions: top .038, bottom .022. Wall thickness: top .035, bottom .038. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 8lbs. 7oz. LOP 14-5/8″. Accompanied with leather luggage case. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% orig. blue with a few minor scuffs and handling marks. Gray receiver is crisp and sharp. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor nicks and scuffs and retains most of its fine hand rubbed finish. The interesting 3 piece forend has fine sharp checkering, a couple minor handling marks and retains most of its fine hand rubbed finish.
