FINE ENGLISH SILVERPLATE CHASED PUNCHBOWL SET, BIRMINGHAM. Late 19th-early 20th century. Comprising a large bowl with heavily gadrooned scrolled edge, shell- and leaf-carved, the sides chased with scrolling leaftips, continuing to a round pedestal base with gadrooned edge. Together with eight matching pedestal cups applied with S-scrolled handles with original conforming round footed tray. SIZE: Punchbowl: 11″ h. x 16″ dia. Each cup: 4″ h. overall x 3-1/4″ dia. Serving tray: 1-3/4″ h. x 21″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine collection. CONDITION: Very good overall, all matching, with little or no wear to plated surfaces. 9-93130 (400-600)
