ELEVEN-PIECE LIMOGES DESSERT SET. Circa 1890. Comprised of a rectangular serving tray with gilt leafy scalloped edge and accompanied by ten similarly designed plates, each paint-decorated with a floral spray, the tray similarly decorated. The tray marked with the artist’s initials “ET”. All with gilt-heightened edges, with impressed mark of Limoges above an anchor with the letters “AL”. Also stamped in dark green underglaze. SIZE: Tray: 16″ x 9-1/2″. Each plate: 8″ dia. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Two plates with small professional repair on rim edge. Otherwise very good overall, with only minor wear to gilding. 9-93331 (600-900)
