PAIR OF CLASSICAL STYLE ITALIAN PAINT-DECORATED CONSOLES. Second half 20th century. These fine benchmade and handpainted examples, each with a demilune top and gilt-decorated ropetwist edge, painted with a floral-filled urn emitting scrolling floral vinery, above the conforming frieze decorated with floral sprays, raised on four square tapering legs with notched cuffs headed by applied oval foliate rosettes, the legs decorated with pendant foliate swags, the whole decorated in shades of blue and green painted on a pale creamy-green ground. SIZE: Each 35-1/2″ h. x 48″ w. x 20″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall, with minimal wear. Structurally very good. 9-93812 (2,000-3,000)
