First set of bbls, 26″, tapered hand-filed rib w/single silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, SK/IMP-CYL chokes, ejectors and single trigger. Chamber end of rib marked w/a gold number “1”, left side of bbl is marked “FILI PIOTTI-ITALY”. Bottom of right bbl “W.L. MOORE. WESTLAKE CA. MOD. MONTE CARLO”. Second set of bbls, 28″ tapered hand-filed rib w/single silver sighting bead, 3″ chambers, MOD/IMP-MOD chokes and ejectors. Chamber end of rib marked with a gold number “2”. Other markings identical to first bbl. Sidelock receiver is engr w/bold H&H style foliate scrollwork and “FILI PIOTTI” in gold center of each side plate banner. Mounted w/a stunning highly figured walnut, fine checkered pistol grip, gold initial oval, checkered butt, checkered small beaver-tail forend w/engr metal tip release, Piotti gold shield, engr diamond escutcheon and engr forend iron. First set of bbls: Bore diameter: left .623, right .623. Bore restrictions: left .014, right .003. Wall thickness: left .023, right .032. Drop at heel: 1-5/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 1 oz. LOP 14-1/2″. Second set of bbls: Bore diameter: left .623, right .623. Bore restrictions: left .022, right .014. Wall thickness: left .020, right .024. Both sets of bbls retain 98-99% orig blue w/a few tiny scratches and light handling marks. Receiver retains nearly all of its deep orig case colors w/faint thinning on sharpest edges. Stock is sound w/sharp, crisp checkering, a few minor handling marks and retains virtually all of its fine hand-rubbed finish. Beavertail is sound w/a tiny chip on left side, sharp crisp checkering and virtually all of its fine hand rubbed finish. Mechanics are crisp w/non-automatic safety, strong ejectors and nice shiny bores in both sets of bbls.
