15″ BRU JNE 4. A wonderful candidate for conservation, this doll found in an old New England attic has brown bulbous paperweight eyes, pierced ears, brown human hair wig, kid body with wood lower legs and celluloid lower arms, wearing original salmon dress with black and yellow embroidery (fragile). Accompanied by several outfits and oil on board portrait, believed to be this very doll. It came from the same attic and looks very much like the doll. Reverse of the panel is a pasture scene with two small children playing in the grass and dated “1880”. IMAGE SIZE: 12″ h x 9-1/4″ w. CONDITION: Doll has large eye chip to her left eye, right eye has vertical hairline, right lower arm is cracked. Edges on painting are rounded.
