*OUTSTANDING FILI RIZZINI R-1 S/S SHOTGUN W/CASE. SN 1887. Cal. 20 ga. 26″ bbls. Hand filed, tapered rib w/single silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, CYL/IMP-CYL. Single trigger and ejectors. Top of rib is marked “FILI RIZZINI MAGNO V.T.” Bottom of bbls marked “ITALY/W.L. MOORE CO WEST LAKE VLG. CA. MOD. R-2”. Receiver is magnificently engr w/floral scroll and mythical swan-like birds w/dark matte background. Trigger plate is signed “INC. PATELLI W.” Mounted with colorful streaky Turkish walnut w/checkered straight grip, leather-covered pad, gold initial shield, checkered splinter forend w/engr metal tip release, engr tear drop escutcheon and engr forend iron. Bore diameter: left .625, right .625. Bore restrictions: left .010, right .003. Wall thickness: left .034, right .030. Drop at heel: 1-3/4, drop at comb: 1-3/8. Weight: 6 lbs. 1 oz. LOP 14-1/4. Accompanied by a leather Nozzoli luggage case with makers label. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% orig blue w/some minor thinning in chamber area. Receiver is bright, crisp and clean. Stock is solid w/sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks and a shallow scratch at left side. Retains nearly all of its fine hand-rubbed finish. Forend is sound w/sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks and retains most of its fine hand-rubbed finish. Leather-covered pad shows a little scuffing at heel and toe.
