CASED SET OF 2ND GENERATION COLT 1860 ARMY REVOLVERS. Cal. 44. SN 1641US & US1641. Cased in a walnut case with plaque on the lid “UNITED STATES CAVALRY COMMEMORATIVE 1777-1977″. The case is 22-3/4″ x 12-1/4″ x 2-3/4”. It is blue velvet lined, with compartments for the two revolvers, a reproduction angle spout flask and a reproduction shoulder stock numbered to these revolvers. It also contains a reproduction Eley Bros. cap tin. The revolvers are usual configuration with 8″ rnd bbls, rebated cylinders, case colored 4-screw frames with extended stock screw and 1-pc walnut grips with cartouches on both sides. The left side of the bbls is roll marked “UNITED STATES CAVALRY COMMEMORATIVE”. The revolvers are basically identical except one has a blued cylinder and one a browned cylinder. CONDITION: New, unfired and unturned. Case & accessories are equally new. From the collection of the late John Hamilton. 4-52165 JR318 (800-1,500)
