PATENT MODEL: ADVERTISING APPARATUS BY N. T. SCOT. Original patent tag #202,966, dated April 30, 1878. Model has the appearance of six gilt painted cast-iron post office boxes set in a walnut case. Hinged articulated box doors have a circular Greek key casting and feature locks attached to their backs. SIZE: 12” l x 12” t x 7-3/4” d. CONDITION: Nicely figured door castings bear original gilt paint. Walnut cabinet has original finish with scattered scuffs, scratches, and small chips. 1-1428 (400-800)
