LOT OF 101 RANCH MATERIALS. Most of these items were purchased in the mid-1950’s from the Tex Cooper Estate sale. Mr. Cooper was a long, long time employee of the 101 Ranch and a performer in their shows. The lot consists of 1) Mr. Cooper’s personal revolver belt & holster for a single action Colt, which is a nicely tooled floral pattern holster with single loop and decorated skirt with the loop riveted to the skirt. The belt is about 37” with an additional 5” tongue, decorated border patterns with a nickeled square buckle, 36 cartridge loops. There is a 1/4” “TC” stamped on the buckle billet. –Fine, one cartridge loop missing & some loose stitching. 2) Pair of 101 Ranch tourist boots, brown leather, fancy stitching with flat heels. –Worn & crackled but still very good, resoled & heeled. 3) Hand made long bbl single action holster, single loop with tooled “M”, long drop with narrow skirt & laced edge. –Very fine. 4) Shotgun cartridge belt, fancy tooled with cartridge loops & “101 Ranch” stamped under the tongue and what appear to be initials “WOS”. –Dry & crackled, loose stitching. 5) Studded leather cuff with five stars & nickel buttons along the top & bottom edges. It has tooled brands with the “101”, the hatchet and others. It has a large silver steer head in the center of a big star. –Dry & crackled, 75% original finish, all buttons intact. 6) Cast brass “101 Ranch” steer head boot jack–fine. 7) Rare 101 Ranch cast iron cap gun, 8” bbl with “101 Ranch” on both sides. –Crack on one side of the bbl, otherwise fine, retains black paint on the grip and traces on the frame, balance brown patina, mechanics fine. 8) Old “B&C” Stilson wrench, stamped on one side “B Pickett / 4370”, reportedly belonged to the famous Black rodeo & movie star, Bill Pickett. Fine, traces of original black paint, nicked & dinged. 9) Rare Miller Bros. 101 Ranch watch fob with tiny leather strap and gold buckle set with an attached short gold chain & snap. It has all three brothers pictured & named with a longhorn steer on top. –Very good, light wear, most original finish. 10) A 101 Ranch hat with 3-1/4” brim, 5” crown, fawn colored, ribbon edge & brown ribbon band, red & yellow silk liner marked in the crown & sweatband “Miller Bros. 101 Ranch Hat”. –As new. 11) Lesser quality 101 Ranch hat, fawn colored, braided leather hatband & stampede string. –Worn, but fine. 12) 1908 Taft & Sherman Republican campaign plate, enameled tin with the white house & pictures of the candidates in the center with past candidates around the edges. –Bright colors, slight edge damage on one side with some light rust affecting only one image. 13) Book Fabulous Empire, Colonel Zack Miller’s Story by Gipson, 1946, 411 pages, canvas back–worn edges, but good. 14) Heavy canvas felt lined stunt man’s vest, marked on the leather “101 Ranch”. –Light wear & soil with repairs on both shoulder straps.
