43 STAR AMERICAN FLAG. 6′ x 12′. Wool bunting commercially manufactured flag with 1-3/4″ hoist stenciled “12 ft x 6 ft 3 in”. Wool bunting flag with reinforced corners, dbl appliqued cotton stars. 43 stars is very rarely encountered. The 43rd star commemorates the state of Idaho which became a state July 3, 1890. Wyoming became the 44th state seven days later, July 10, 1890. CONDITION: Excellent, bright colors. Flag appears never to have been flown. 4-53395 JS33 (2,500-3,500)
