*PRESENTATION QUALITY WINCHESTER MODEL 101 PIGEON GRADE OVER/UNDER SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN PK354562. Beautiful trap gun with 30” bbls choked FULL/IMP-MOD with flat, matted, ventilated rib, Bradley front ivory bead and broken, middle ivory bead, ejectors & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Mounted with nicely figured, American walnut with schnable tipped, checkered, beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered side panels, 14-3/8” over an orig Winchester waffle pad. Receiver, opening lever, triggerguard & forend iron are beautifully engraved with two raised gold flying pheasants on both sides surrounded with full coverage, foliate arabesque patterns. Bottom of receiver has an engraved pigeon. Entire receiver has a silver wire border, as does the trigger plate and the top tang has “S”, “U” & “O” in gold. Bore diameter: top – .738, bottom – .736. Bore restrictions: top – .041, bottom – .029 (appears to have been jug choked, behind chokes is nominal .729 diameter). Wall thickness: top – .034, bottom – .032. Drop at heel: 1-3/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 7 lbs. 9.6 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine, near new, appears to be unfired since it was completed. Retains virtually all of its fine custom finish on metal. Wood is sound with a minor nick or two and retains a bright urethane finish.
