PATENT MODEL: ANIMAL TRAP BY J. W. HOLLINGSWORTH. Original patent tag #62,869, dated May 21, 1867. A very elaborate design for this animal trap that consists of a pressure sensitive platform which presumably activated metal side panels to trip up and trap the animal. Trap also includes a holding area constructed from wire not unlike a lobster trap. SIZE: 7” l x 3” t x 4-1/4” w. CONDITION: Generally good with most of the bent wires loose but intact. 1-1502 (175-275)
