SATSUMA PORCELAIN DECORATED VASE. Meiji Period, Late 19th Century of Japanese origin, probably made for domestic use, the workmanship is superior, the tapered vase having a three foot base, two panels, one showing four warriors; the other showing landscape, flowering tree and bird. Nice decoration of water, birds and flowers. The bottom having a signature mark. SIZE: 6″ h. PROVENANCE: Private collection of Dr. & Mrs. Winfield Gibbs, Sunbury, PA. Ashkenazi Auction, 9/20/84.
