Legend below as follows: “Sir Bevys Winner of the Derby Stakes at Epsom 1879. Value of the Stakes 7050. When two years old won a maiden sweepstakes at First October meeting. Painted & engraved by Hunt & Son”. Housed in a black and gilt wood frame with glass having a reverse painted black and gold matte. SIZE: Sight: 21-1/2″ x 27″. PROVENANCE: Estate of William Hoeschle of Belfast, Maine. CONDITION: Very good, not examined out of frame. Matte has some lifting. 9-96564 (200-400)
