FINE EGYPTIAN REVIVAL CARVED AND INLAID THREE-PIECE PARLOR SUITE. Set consisting of a settee, armchair and side chair. Late 19th/early 20th Century. The aesthetic influenced set has carved Egyptian heads at top of posts at each corner. The feet are in a deep carved claw foot. Front and back posts having a rosewood panel with inlaid ivory and mother of pearl. The inlaid mother of pearl shapes include crescent moon, star and other symbols. The settee and armchair covered in a flower decorated re-upholstery. Side chair with a different colored gold upholstery. Possibly the work of Horner or another New York shop. SIZE: Settee 39-1/2” h x 60-1/2” across front x 29” d at arm. Armchair is 40” h x 31-1/2” across arms. Side chair is 39-1/2” h. CONDITION: Very good, some ivory string inlay missing. 9-71468 (4,000-6,000)
