*SPECTACULAR & RARE PERAZZI EXTRA GOLD MODEL OVER/UNDER SHOTGUN 3-BARREL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN 91943. Built on an MX8 action with two sets of over/under bbls and an over single bbl. One set of over/under bbls are 31-1/2” choked FULL/IMP-MOD and the other set is 29-1/2” with screw chokes. The single bbl is 34” choked FULL. All have raised, flat, tapered, matted, concave ventilated ribs with dbl beads and ejectors and all are ported. Receiver has gold plated, sgl selective trigger. The sgl bbl is matching numbered to the receiver, 31-1/2” bbls are numbered “91944” and 29-1/2” bbls are numbered “91945”. Mounted with exceptionally beautiful, presentation quality, honey & chocolate, marble cake, circassian walnut with fleur-de-lis & ribbon carved, checkered, beavertail forearm with grasping grooves and a matching, carved & checkered buttstock with carved & checkered, raised side panels. It has an extended grip area with leather covered, adjustable comb and adjustable buttplate with Old English pad. Receiver & appended metal and the spare trigger set are phenomenally engraved with coin finish receiver, having deep relief patterns of leaves & flowers with two raised gold dragons on each side and four smaller gold dragons on the bottom with other dragons incorporated in patterns on bottom. Triggerguards are engraved to match and all engraving has a fine punch dot background. Bottom of receiver has the initials “MAP” in gold. Top tang has “BLOCCATO” and “S” in gold. Accompanied by a fine, green velvet lined, aluminum Americase, compartmented in bottom for shotgun, three bbls & forearm with compartments for five spare Briley chokes and a spare release trigger set which is numbered to the shotgun and matching engraved. Also accompanying are five additional Briley chokes, two Perazzi spare parts sets with hammer springs, firing pins & wrenches with other small parts plus two other spare springs. In addition there are two sets of snap caps. In one of the compartments is the business card of Paul D. Hillmer of Hudson, Iowa, which states that he is a custom gun stock maker. It seems likely that Mr. Hillmer at least modified the stock, if not having created it altogether. 31-1/2” BBLS: Bore diameter: top – .725, bottom – .725. Weight with 29-1/2” bbls: 9 lbs. 7.68 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls all retain about all of their fine orig factory blue and the receiver virtually all of its bright coin finish with bright blue on thumb lever & triggerguards. Stock has a crack on right side, back of trigger opening, otherwise wood is sound and retains about all of its brilliant, glossy finish with only a few minor nicks.
