*CUSTOM ENGRAVED BROWNING SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 3576J70. Belgian made shotgun with 26-3/8” bbls choked SKEET/SKEET with ventilated rib, dbl ivory beads, ejectors and gold plated single selective trigger. Mounted with very nicely figured, checkered, English or French walnut with long rnd forearm having large checkered panels on sides with a smaller panel on bottom & a diamond toward front. It has straight stock with checkered side panels, 14-1/2” over a checkered Niedner style metal buttplate. Receiver & triggerguard are very nicely etch engraved with vignette of a flying pheasant on left side, a flying grouse on right side and a woodcock on trigger bow, all surrounded with leaf & branch patterns. Trigger plate is signed “N PEDINI”. It appears that this was a salt gun that has been reconditioned, custom wooded and engraved by a well known engraver. Unable to gauge bore diameter, bore restrictions, & wall thickness. Drop at heel: 2”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 6 lbs. 3.84 oz. Accompanied by a tan leatherette covered rnd corner Browning trunk case. CONDITION: Very fine. Metal retains virtually all of its fine restored & custom finish. Wood is sound and retains virtually all of its beautiful custom finish with a splash of scattered chemical etching of the finish on buttstock on both sides. Buttplate has some light rust. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. Case is fine. 4-30267 JR266 (3,000-5,000)
