GERMAN DOUBLE ROOM BOX. Circa 1890. A beautiful room box with carved columns on the front, original wallpapers in cream and blue designs and original floor papers. Elegant blue draperies with great wooden brackets at the top, connecting door between rooms. Furnishings include Boulle (Waltershausen) parlor set consisting of a sofa, arm chair, 2 side chairs, a glass door cabinet on legs and two marble top tables as well as a tin fireplace, soft metal plant stand with flowers, two Schneegas marble top pieces; a mirrored dresser and commode. Accessories include a large brass birdcage, two ormolu picture frames, oval mirror with ormolu frame and other misc. pieces. SIZE: 14″ t x 30″ w x 12-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: Good to very good. Room box and furnishings are original and very good.
