*CASED BROWNING DIANA GRADE SUPERPOSED 3-BARREL SKEET SET. Cal. 20 ga., 28 ga., 410. SN 62298V70. Beautiful Diana Grade with 26-1/2” bbls, all choked SKEET/SKEET, ejectors & gold-plated sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very highly figured, flame-grain, American walnut with tapered, grasping groove, target forearms and short tang, square knob stock, 14-1/4” over a Browning black composition buttplate. Receiver is engraved by J.M. Debrus in typical Diana patterns of five pheasant on left side, four ducks on right side, two quail on bottom & two rabbits on trigger bow, all in gray finish. This gun falls in the salt gun range and it may have had salt wood as there are fine squiggly lines of rust on top tang and opening lever with one or two tiny spots of rust around forend iron on all three sets of barrels. Stock appears to be the orig piece of wood with the serial number under buttplate. Buttplate screws show no evidence of salt contamination. Accompanied by a tan leatherette covered, rnd corner, Browning 3-bbl case. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine, as noted. Bbls retain most of their orig factory blue with a minor nick or two to forearm finish and show only light wear from use. Receiver appears to have been lightly cleaned, while triggerguard retains most of its lacquer finish. Wood is sound with minor nicks & handling marks in the finish with some crazing in buttstock finish on right flat, otherwise retains virtually all of its bright factory finish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. Case is fine. 4-30271 JR65 (9,500-12,500)
