PATENT MODEL: ORE CRUSHER. Miles Dodge, inventor. Patent #262,652; dated August 15, 1882. Fantastic two-part wood and brass device consisting horizontal cylindrical chamber and roller bed to rotate chamber. This improvement to previous mining machines has flat polygonal sides and internal overlapping shelves which were supposed to have agitated the ore better to separate gold from the less desirable particles.
