FOUR LINEN-BACKED FIELD SURVEY AND TRENCH MAPS. Two maps prepared by the “Geographical Section, General Staff,” one titled “Lens” in France and the second “Namur” in Belgium. The scale on both is 1:100000. Two additional maps were prepared by the Field Survey Company, Royal Engineers, with a scale of 1:20000, showing blue trench lines for the Germans and red for the British. These two maps, one signed by Lt. E. M. Barker, C Company, 38th Battalion, Australian Imperial Forces, are of the Somme area, including Corbie and the crash area. CONDITION: Generally good. All show evidence of much folding and refolding, but due to the linen backing are not overly fragile. From the Collection of the late P. J. Carisella. 4-53530 CW37 (400-600)
