DAVID ADOLF CONSTANT ARTZ (Dutch, 1837-1890) “THE YOUNG FAGOT GATHERER”. Watercolor on paper scene shows a barefoot young girl walking down a dirt path with a bundle of sticks under one arm and a leash to a sheep. Signed lower right “Artz 1868″. Housed in a fine original gesso decorated frame with gilt wood inner frame having glass and gilt liner. SIZE: 10-1/4″ X 7-1/2”.
