*CASED BELGIAN BROWNING PIGEON GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 1864F8. Fine Browning with 28″ bbls choked SKEET/SKEET with matted ventilated rib with red ivory Bradley front bead, white ivory center bead, ejectors & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Receiver & appended parts are coin finished. Mounted with very beautiful, highly figured, streaky French walnut with rnd field style forearm & short tang rnd knob stock, 14″ over a Browning waffle pad. This, unfortunately, is a salt gun with evidence of fine pitting around rear edges of receiver & staining in wood. It appears to have been cleaned & treated to stop further erosion. Accompanied by a rnd corner brown leatherette tan fleece lined Browning 2-bbl trunk case with white insert handle. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs. 12.48 oz. CONDITION: As noted, very fine. Bbls retain about 98% strong bright orig blue & receiver most of their orig coin finishes with aforementioned spots of light pitting & cleaned areas. Wood is sound with spots of dark staining around receiver, otherwise retains most of its orig factory varnish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. Case is near new. 4-55516 JR169 (2,500-4,000)
