*SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1917 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 45 ACP/Auto Rim. SN 866. Martially marked, blue finish, 5-1/2” bbl, integral half moon front sight, with a registered magnum hammer, having a short checkered spur and serrated sides. It has smooth walnut grips with a lanyard loop in the butt. The inspector mark at the left top rear of the frame is “GHS” in a circle. There is a large “S” stamped inside the yoke cutout on the frame, on the bottom flat of the bbl and back of the cylinder. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Possibly unfired from the factory, retaining virtually all its bright commercial blue finish with a few freckles of rust on the back strap. Grips are extremely fine with one or two small handling & storage marks. Bbl & cylinder are numbered to the revolver and the right grip has the serial numbered penciled on the inside.
