OUTSTANDING CASED SILVER AND IVORY CARVING SET. Three piece carving set consists of: 1) 14-1/2” knife having a signed Sheffield blade by “John Wigfall & Co. (El Trinchante in Comparable)”. 5” handle has an Oriental man in silver with inset ivory head, hands and shoes. Monogrammed and unsigned. 2) 11” fork with a 5” handle of a Oriental Deity eating a turtle from a bowl with an Oriental character. Head, hands, feet and turtles head are in ivory. Monogrammed and unsigned. 3) 13” knife sharpener with Oriental woman carrying large nut. Her face, arms, feet and blossom are ivory. Monogrammed and unsigned. Each piece is set into a fitted oak box of kidney form with key. CONDITION: Very good. 9-71080 (1,500-2,500)
