*CASED BROWNING MIDAS LIGHTNING GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 290J75. Fabulous lightweight special order field style Browning with 26-5/16″ bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with narrow hand-matted ventilated rib with sgl ivory bead, ejectors & gold plated-sgl selective trigger. Receiver is typically Midas engraved with large vignettes of three raised gold pheasants on left side, three raised gold ducks on right side & a raised gold quail on bottom. Balance of receiver & all appended pieces are full coverage engraved with beautiful leaf & vine arabesque patterns with fine punch dot background. Top tang has “S”, “O” & “U” in gold & trigger bow has an elliptical shaped shield. Left vignette is signed “R. KOWALSKI”, the lower left panel is signed “BLEUS” and right side is signed “BLEUS”. Mounted with extremely beautiful shell & flame grain walnut with checkered semi-schnable tipped forearm & straight stock with raised side panels with carved spear points, 14″ over the orig Browning black composition buttplate. Accompanied by a late manufactured brown canvas & leather square corner green fleece lined Browning case that has brass corner reinforcements. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 6.08 oz. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine. As new, retains all of its pristine orig factory finish to both metal & wood with no discernible flaws, appears to be unfired.
