GREENER SHOT COUNTER, JAMES DIXON LOADING BLOCK FOR DIXON LOADING MACHINE. SN NSN. 100 Tube brass block in mahogany frame w/ brass reinforcements and ratchet is part of very scarce Dixon loading machine. All brass paddle shaped counter marked “W. W. Greener’s Shot Counter.” has sliding cover to expose charges of one oz. to 1-3/8oz of shot w/ pellet counts from 270 – 404. Cover secured in place by wrought iron wing screw. Extremely scarce. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Collection. CONDITION: Loading block has seen considerable use, and missing brass ratchet on right side.
