*CONTINENTAL DAMASCUS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. SN 30581. Left lock plate is marked “The Continental”. The right is marked “Patd June 20 1883”. Water table is marked ‘Patd March 27 April 14. June 20.1881” Belgian proofmarks on bottom of bbl with “NOT FOR BALL”. Buttplate has a seated dog with shotgun leaning against a tree, which has hanging birds. CONDITION: Strong traces of casehardening colors on lockplate. 40% brown on the bbls. Wood has been cracked at wrist. Repaired and partially refinished. Mechanically fine. 8-87511 FS225 (200-300)
