PATENT MODEL: SULPHUR CONDENSING MACHINE BY GEORGE C. TAYLOR. Model is marked with name and inventor in title but has patent tag #140,443, dated July 1, 1873 indicating “Apparatus for Treating Cane Juice” by George R. Taylor. All parts are marked alphabetically on this machine, which is a rectangular wooden model with one rounded corner with handled crank on side. Inside of model has apparatus similar to water wheel with paddles as well as a series of removable shelves. Outside of model has pulley system allowing for rotation of paddles and a spout for finished product. SIZE: 11 1/2″ l. x 10 1/4″ t. x 5 1/2″ d. CONDITION: Missing door that covers inner workings, wooden spout has small crack, and various chips to finish, otherwise generally good. 1-1426 (600-800)
