PATENT MODEL: CLOTHES WRINGER BY J. BRINKERHOFF. Original patent tag #146,867, dated Jan. 27, 1874. Oak model with hardware to attach to side of wash tub, cast iron cogs and covered wringers. Model is stenciled on front “Empire Wringer Co., Auburn, New York, Size 3”. Reverse is stenciled “Empire, Turns with all the labor as other wringers, has more capacity, needs no oiling, cog wheels always in gear.” SIZE: 15″ l. x 15 1/2″ t. x 5 3/4″ d.
