*ITHACA FIELD GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 ga. SN 500331. Scarce Magnum 10 double, one of only about 574 ever made. It has 34” fluid steel bbls with 3-1/2” chambers, and so marked on bbl flat, rare tapered, matted, ventilated rib with brass front bead & ivory middle bead, rotary bolt rib extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with nicely figured, checkered American walnut with wide, black insert beavertail forearm and straight stock with Monte Carlo comb, 14-1/2” over an old Hawkins pad. Bore diameter: left – .782, right – .783. Bore restrictions: left – .037, right – .037. Wall thickness: left – .057, right – .059. Drop at heel: 1-5/8”, drop at comb: 1-5/8”. Weight: 11 lbs. 10.56 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about 90% thin orig blue with a few scattered pinpoints of light rust. Receiver retains 65-70% thin orig case colors, with the balance turned silver. Stock has a hairline at back of top tang, a couple of minor chips around bottom tang, and the forearm a couple of bruises, otherwise wood is sound with light nicks and dings and retains about 85% orig varnish.
