Dainty rnd action dbl with 28″ bbls choked FULL/MOD with smooth, concave, tapered rib, sgl brass bead, Greener cross bolt extension, dbl lumps, extractor & dbl triggers. 2-3/4” proof. Bbl has maker’s name & address with inscription at end of rib “MADE FOR / FORD BROS / MARITZBURG”. Receiver is unadorned but has company name on each side. Lower tang & bbl have the #”T4902″. Mounted in nicely figured straight grain English walnut with horn tipped, semi-schnable, checkered splinter forearm & rnd knob Prince of Wales stock, 13-3/4″ over serrated horn buttplate. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Bore diameter: left – .525, right – .542. Weight: 4lbs. 13.76oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 97-98% fine restored blue & receiver about 99% brilliant restored case colors. Floor plate is a blue/gray patina. Wood is sound with small chip by top tang & a couple small areas of fill with freshened checkering & retains about all of a fine, professionally restored finish.
