*PAIR OF EXTRAORDINARY HALL ACTION SINGLE SHOT VARMINT RIFLES. SN 823 & 824. Both in caliber 22-250. Spectacular rifles built on Hall Mfg. Co., Clanton, AL, stainless steel single shot bolt actions with tapered medium weight stainless steel bbls and mounted in black synthetic stocks with decelerator pads. They have adjustable triggers and unique trigger guard mounted safeties which nearly block the trigger when engaged in the SAFE position. The actions are unique with solid bolt head to bolt body construction with integral hollow knob bolt handles and smooth shrouded strikers. Extractors are Remington style in the enclosed bolt head. Receivers are rnd top with Talley stainless bases & rings. #823 is mounted with a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20X scope with fine duplex crosshair, sun shade & target knobs. #824 is mounted with a Sightron 6-24X42 scope with duplex crosshairs and sun shade with 1/8 MOA target knobs. Left sides of receivers are marked “HALL MFG (Serial Number) / CLANTON AL”. Left chamber area of bbls are marked in script “Dixie Guns / (Serial Number) 22-250”. Rifle #823 has Dixie Gun #011 and rifle #824 has Dixie Gun #012. Except for scopes the rifles are virtually identical. CONDITION: Both rifles are extremely fine, having been fired but show very little use. Both have slightly scuffed bolt bodies, otherwise all the stainless steel is bright finish. Bases, rings & trigger guards are satin finished and both scopes have matte finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bores. Stocks are also crisp & clean.
